Georgian Silver Epergne and matching original plateau

This superb rare suite of sterling silver epergne and matching plateau by Matthew Boulton was hallmarked in 1810, but almost certainly started during 1809, the year he died. The suite carries an intriguing inscription on both the plateau and the epergne frame linking the set to the great family of Robert Adam, architect and designer.
