A beautifully enamelled ‘wine barrel’ supported by the raised hands of two figures of Bacchus seated back to back either side of a central mount set on a stepped cruciform base which in turn is supported by four Bacchus mask feet.The barrel bung made in the form of a seated Bacchus with raised goblet in hand.The scenes on the barrel depicting classical figures.
